easter 2010

We continue our popular School holiday production projects this Easter holiday with a five-day drama course culminating in a Saturday evening stage show.

Our Drama projects involve students in multiple aspects of theatre and drama, keeping our numbers small to ensure each student is fully involved.

Our Holiday Drama week begins with a script and finishes with an evening performance. There are five full days of rehearsal and preparation (9.30-3.00) when students learn their roles and assist in planning the stage set, the lighting plot and soundtrack.  This intensive experience of theatre helps children and young people develop initiative, self-confidence, presentation skills, self-expression, creative thinking and a sense of fun.

The week is designed to be both challenging and fun, with creative activity, intelligent funny scripting, professional guidance and an opportunity to perform.

Our Easter Holiday Drama production week runs from Tuesday April 6th to Saturday April 10th, from 9.30-3pm each day.

The production is at the Eastgate Theatre at 7.30pm on the Saturday evening (April 10th), with the children required from 6.30pm.

Participants must be available for all the rehearsal days and the production.

There are just 15 places available in the production. A place on the week’s course costs £85, or £79 for each additional family member joining. Places can be reserved at the Eastgate Theatre box office with a deposit of £20. The balance of the fee is payable on or before the first day of the course. Places are allocated on a first-come first-served basis, and a waiting list will be made if necessary. The cost includes all materials and a free ticket to the final show. Further tickets to the show will be available at a low price from the Theatre.

To reserve a place in our Easter Holiday Drama Week call the Eastgate Theatre box office on 01721 725777, or visit the Eastgate Theatre and Arts Centre, Eastgate, Peebles, opposite the Post Office.
